IziBasic has a beamfile statement that will let you transfer data (IrDA OBEX, I think.) My applet will only allow communication by either raw data transfer or IrComm protocol. If you need more control, you will have to write a pascal applet that accesses the Palm IR library. Although I have not done this, you should be able to access all IrDA stack layers that way.
