iziBasic is similar to what Basic flavor?
19/02/2007 @ 19:13 by Bob Maske
I have a few Basic programming books at home, which is California, but for this week I'm in Paris and don't have access to them, but I would like to know which flavor of Basic is most similar to iziBasic. I'm trying to determine if I have something at home that will help me remember how to program in Basic. Thanks!

Hello Bob,
iziBasic is some kind of my own mix of years spent coding with many different flavors of Basic, from the one used in my early Pocket Computers (Radio Shack TRS-80 Pocket Computer and Sharp Pocket Computer 1360) to Borland's Turbo Basic. I have been reported that iziBasic's philosophy & syntax is quite close from the one used in Liberty Basic which I have also used about 10 years ago during a few months.
If ever you find some good tutorial for a close flavor of Basic, I would be interested to know about it. Because a few people already asked me for a good reading to start and I have no real idea of what to tell them on this topic!
Cheers, aldweb

Ok, thanks for the info and when I do find something that can help teach iziBasic I'll pass it on.
