Hi there, can iziBasic beam files and could you make a program in iziBasic that would take a beamed file and do something with it?

Eg. beam text to a program on another Palm which would then display the text on screen

Yes this is possible.
Download the PP applets pack (on iziBasic's download page) and dig into the IRcomm applet, which is a great contribution from JoeV.
This applet does exactly what you ask for.

 Hello dehrha,

This is not possible in "native" iziBasic, as iziBasic has no statement or function to deal with IR printing.

But, as always, it is very much possible to enhance iziBasic's core functionality with the help of the so-called "PP applets" (look in iziBasic's user manual for explanations about this extension feature).

On PP's website is a library to the printer driver of BtPrint Pro. This could be a good starting point to look at and to ease the development of the "PP applet". Search for EZIrPrintLib on the following web page: http://www.ppcompiler.org/download.php?lng=en
