 Hi Az,

Could you provide me a link to the iziBasic_Reference.pdb file that you mention? If so, maybe someone can help you out. Just guessing, but it might be in doc format (any doc reader, Plucker format, etc.).

 Hi Az

The English version is an iSilo file. You need the iSilo application (www.isilo.com) to view it.

The French version is a MobileDB file (www.handmark.com).

You always have the HTML files in english and the word document in french. You may have an alternative method of converting these to install them on your Palm. For example, if you have DocsToGo you can install the word document directly.

 Some alternatives...

- install PalmPDF on your Palm and then browse the native PDF file from the SD card
- convert the PDF to HTML and browse with machine (if it has it) web browser
- convert PDF to HTML and then to a Plucker PDB, very similar to iSilo

 Using PalmPDF to consult the iziBasic manual is painful, in my experience:
- PalmPDF is slow to load.
- Paging is slow.
- Search is really slow.

I downloaded the v5 docs in DOC format (converted by some kind soul, I can't recall offhand), and this works much better. Fast to load, fast to page, fast to search, fast to jump around using the bookmarks.

Remaining doc wishes:
- code examples (even a single line would help)
- more details on edge cases (e.g. for LoadPref, what do I get if I load without having saved first?)
- general editing of the text for clarity and grammar

What would be really cool would be a wiki setup where the community could improve and extend the docs, then you could generate the docs in a few different handy formats on demand.

In the meantime, I'd be happy to help out with the docs and formats. I have a vested interest, after all... ;^)

 Hello Dave and all others who asked me for an iziBasic wiki.

Better late than never (the initial request was raised in June or so...), with the help of my friend Palmipod, I have installed a wiki system for iziBasic here: http://wiki.aldweb.com/.

It is password protected to avoid being flooded. Who ever would like to contribute is more than welcome, just drop me an e-mail and I will send you the password.
