A few silly questions. |

a) How do you destroy an image that is not in a button. The destoy function works well for imagebuttons, but is there a way to destoy just images?
b) Is there an easy way to retrieve the Hotsync user name through Izibasic? I was wondering because many Palm OS applications use the Username paired with a particular registration code as a way to register/ unlock Palm applications.
c) Would it be possible to add keyboard support for the (Enter) Button on the "INPUT" function? Without this feature users may need to get there stylus out just for this to Press enter. I think this would be particularly helpful for smartphones that have built in keyboards or for people using a wireless keyboard.
d) Do you plan on supporting the 5 way navigator in a future version of Izibasic?
e) Is there any screen buffer/ rendering that can be added for programs that use "UPDATEPOS" alot. (I have made a football game that has quite alot of image movement, but the screen seems a to have a wave like movement come a cross it every once in a while).
Thanks for your responses.
Izibasic is the best.

Hello Nevin,
There are no silly questions
a) you draw a filled rectangle with background color on top of it (see the NekoCat sample application)
b) yes, see the HOTSYNCINFO$() function
c) this is right, please complain to PalmSource... or use the format of the INPUT statement with the first parameter (then, the INPUT accepts the Enter keystroke as this standard console INPUT format was 100% coded by myself)
d) see on Khertan's web site, there is a PP applet to code it in 5 minutes: http://www.khertan.net/index.php?articles=5%20Way%20Rocker%20et%20iziBasic.txt It's in French but you will very easily figure out how easy it is to implement. Otherwise, please read the "Do you plan to add VFS file management, High resolution support for 320x480 screens, 5 way navigator handling, socket capabilities, etc…?" paragraph in the user's manual FAQ.
e) did you follow the recommendation I made in the user manual: HIDE, UPDATEPOS, SHOW? However, using objects like BUTTONIMAGE is not really the right way for a game, using images and tracking the pen's moves and ticks is a much more efficient way of doing (even though, a little bit harder and longer to code)
Cheers
