Izibasic on lifedrive;-( |

I have a palm lifedrive OS5 400 mhz. when I try to run izibasic it resets and says there wasa fatal exception. vizibasic seems to work ok though, do I need a patch or something? |

Hello DeamEyes,
Indeed, it seems that iziBasic does not always work smoothly on the LifeDrive.
Some users reported to have iziBasic running fine, a few others faced similar troubles as yours (2 people reported to me so far).
On my side, all tests I made on the LifeDrive Simulator ran very well and I never suffered from any crash.
iziBasic can also run from an external memory card (SD, Memory Stick...), which is, to my understanding, a behaviour quite similar to the LifeDrive's doings.
So, I just do not have a single clue of what 3rd party application gets in conflict with iziBasic on this device or what line of code in iziBasic generates this potential issue.
But, this device is known to suffer from a lot of bugs and issues, maybe nothing to do with the software themselves... I saw that Palm offered recently a 2nd patch for the LifeDrive, maybe start by installing this patch.

No problem for me here with my LD
Try to use Resco Locker (RLock)free
http://www.resco.net/palm/locker/
& lock Izibasic in Ram,many apps works better when they are lock in ram.

That is a great Idea... I like it when people try to find solutions to issues... But since I dont have a lifedrive yet, I cant test it. |

Thanks for informing me of the 2.0 patch. It fixed the izibasic program as well as solved other complaints I had about lifedrive, mainly the clear all memory function and taht u can only push one button at a time. Overall thanks for the help and speedy response |
