The wave file is saved in the resource file and you use the PLAYWAVE command.

Maybe you already know all this...

I'm not exactly sure how to get the actual wave file into the resource file. Because I have never done it.

But I think I know how to set it up. Using BIRD -
* open the resource file (new or existing)
* click New
* Select Generic Type
* specify the size of the wave file
* specify the Type as "WAVE"
* specify the index number. iBChristmas uses 1.

I suspect that you need to open the wav file, maybe with BIRD??, select it all, copy and paste into your WAVE resource.

I hope this helps

Hopefully, aldweb or someone will fill in or correct,

Richard

Let me just add that the original WAVE resource I used in iBChristmas was built using Pilrc with this syntax (if I remember well):
DATA "WAVE" ID 1 "MyMusic.WAV"

Pilrc can be downloaded from

http://sourceforge.net/projects/pilrc/

PilRC is the PILot Resource Compiler. It takes an input file containing descriptions of Palm Pilot resources and outputs binary resources that can be included into a .prc file.

Thank you Richard, your answers are always much more explicit and clearer than mine.
I really appreciate a lot that you and a few others come and share so nicely here.

Cheers,
