Vizibasic-Save as - maybe a bug |

when i do a save as, and ck the file size in RescoExplorer the length changes by one byte.
As i do a saveas of the new file it somestimes grows a byte.
BUT --- The main error is
A- a fatal exception
or
B It shows a all dark screen, with a middle blinking line, and then i have to change my adjust display, as the bug some how changes my Adjust display from high to low.
I have a palmOne Zire 31
Any Ideas on whats happing

Over all, i like Vizibasic, and understand its a work in progress.

Hello John,
The change of size is no trouble by itself as the project database holds the name of the project.
So if you have a project "MyProject" and save it as "MyProject2", then it is expected that the new file is 1 byte bigger than the original one.
What is more of a concern to me is the bug you face. I never had it myself during the last 5 months I have been working on this project.
To help me figure out what is happening: 1. Do you know a succession of actions that always lead to reproduce it?
2. Would you accept to send me one project file on which doing "Save as" in this manner leads to this fatal error?

Thank you. All software are a work in progress, this is why we developers like to version our applications. ViziBasic, in its version 1.1, is indeed a very young application and can be improved in many areas. I released version 1.0 when I believed that it was functional enough to be used by everybody.

an example of use:
I use handbase alot, and i have teallens
After a soft reboot (from the back of z-31)
1 I launch vizibasic
2 I open prj Vizibindec, all is ok
3 I open my prj vizJrs02, all is ok
(sometimes i get fatal error)
4 I then hit my soft home button and the screen does a strange black out and i have to adjust my displat from low background to high, and sometomes the contrast is all black and i then slide the contrast back to mid way.
My prj vizJrs02 is a copy of a copy etc..

John,
In theory, Palm OS is supposed to reajust the screen definition (low/high...) for each single application it starts. The setting should not be "one fits all".
From what you write, I have the feeling that this rule is not 100% applied in your device... this is strange.
On another side, if ViziBasic may change the screen resolution (to test in b&w, gray, color), it never plays with the contrast settings!
So, thank you for reporting, but I am left with more questions than answers... so, I will have to guess and test for a possible fix... 
What is your launcher? Palm's default one or a 3rd party one?
