Passing Data To and From a PP Applet |

Ok I have a few Questions that I am Sure Aldweb knows the answer to!
First I know that iziBasic has this function built in BUT Just for learning purposes I want to use a PP Let to check the Os version using a system trap SysTrapGetOSVersionSring(inline($4E4F,$A323) . Now the exact thing I want to do is just create an iziBasic program that Starts in iziBasic and passes control to PP Applet to detect the OS string and returns control to the iziBasic Program to store the string in a variable and display it. I am sure this is easy, But I am having some issues with it.
Next I want to be able to Pass Data to PP and also check Data. For example passing data to PP to store in the Clipboard and also Display the contents of the clipboard.
Hope someone can help |

Ktimaster,
Before I give you the solving of your question, may I advise you to give a look to the very easy and small iBHelloPP sample program which does all of what you ask for. After that, you might want to give a look to the more complex CPDBdemo program which adds calls, thanks to PP, to an external library for managing DBs.
Cheers,

Hey, dear customer , I spent hours developing these sample source codes as I highly believe that we learn coding 10 times better and faster by reading source code samples.

OK I read the examples and I ?think? I understand. But I want to find a way to add a few Buttons to the command bar. And I know the system traps but how do I set up the enviroments in izibas and PP. I mainly want them to be active when my app is running BUT It would be even better if they were ALLWAYS active. PLEASE HELP |

I have never digged into understanding how to manage answering to buttons in the command bar. I think that it has something to do with notifications as far as I remember... and iziBasic does not manage notifications yet and it is not manage them soon because there are many technical constraints behind.
Cheers
