active  Topic # 1240  Palm Tables

Still just learning to use iziBasic, but noticed one thing you should be able to add, a Palm table. A lot of Palm apps need to display colums and rows of information. Right now I have to do a lot of building to put a table in place. It seems to me that if the developer is listening, put Palm table handling on the "wish list"?

Thanks!

Hello Roger,

Yes, yes, I am listening.

Tables can already be coded in iziBasic, using labels, fields or textselect objects, to organize in rows and colums. Data could be stored in the A() and A$() arrays, sorted by one of the many existing sorting algorythms.

It is true that you have to code all of a table's behaviour all by yourself. But, Palm tables as provided by the Palm OS APIs is the headache of most developers... if you understand what I mean...

Cheers
