Icon my App
le 27/07/2005 @ 14:57 par Watts
I am trying to generate an icon resource file for my app. I have looked at the tutorial in the user manual. I am not sure how to place the icon generated with Icon Manager into the resource file. Is there any other tutorials in English that I could refer to or some insight on how to successfully associate an icon with my application?

Watts,
Why don't you just copy the resource from the file generated with Icon Manager and paste it to the target resource file, all from the Bird or RsrcEdit application? Or there is something I don't understand in your request?
Cheers

I am setting on izibasic built application that is ready for release. The application is fully tested and functional. All documentation is complete. I have everything set up at PalmGear and I am ready to release. I getting kind of panicky can you tell? I just need a suitable icon made. Can any anyone give me some tips or help? I have generated a resource file with and icon in it. After the application is compiled the icon just looks too small. The icon size is 32*22 I think it should be 64*44. I would even pay someone to make me a nice one.

I managed to generate a fairly nice one using the Quartus RsrcEdit.

Good news Watts!
Would you be so kind to answer my personal curiosity and let me know when your application is made available?
Cheers

Good job Watts
Just one comment: the VS_rsrc.PRC and MI_rsrc.PRC files are not needed, they are "automagically" integrated by iziBasic into your main program at compilation time

Another way I just found to integrate some image designed on a PC is TbmpEdit. You design your image with Paint (for example), put the .BMP file on your SD Card and TbmpEdit will convert the .BMP image to a Tbmp resource for you.
