active  Topic # 1181  Stumped on MemoDB access

I'm trying to use the MemoDB on a T3 to save configuration files. I've used the MemoTitles example program as a primer. I use the code in the example to build a list of titles. This works OK until I add records to the MemoDB. The records are added just fine. If I go to the memo application the records are there, but... the routine to build the file list will not pick them up. At least not until I edit the record in the memo app. I'm stumped! There appears to be something needed at the end of the records that I am building. What is it? Or is it something else?

Steven,

Give a look to the MemoDB with Bird or RsrcEdit, look all records:
1. before adding any record
2. after adding one record
3. and after editing one memo added your way.
I hope that you will catch a difference somehow, this could then give you a hint for what to do next...

Cheers

There are two memo databases on the T3, but that is not the issue as they contain the same records. The issue was deleted records that were not the last records in the database. So far I have not been able to duplicate that. I just deleted the 'deleted' records using Bird and everything works. Further deletions in Memo put the 'deleted' records at the end of the MemoDB. I think that synching is supposed to get rid of the 'deleted' records but Memos are not being synched right now on my setup and I'm having trouble getting that fixed.
