My perfect Pocket Computer would be : - the hardware of the Jornada 680,690,710,720 or 728 + internal GSM/GPRS modem - running Palm OS v5 - with an inbuilt Sharp Basic
... not that Dana by AlphaSmart |

I'm sure you can add a BASIC interpreter as an application. Or better yet, a C compiler ::):):):):) |

I know, this is an old threat, but...
Do you know, Casio produces in reality a pocket computer, which includes a C-compiler?
But what a pity, they never sold it to Europe.
You can find it on the Japanese hompage of Casio.

"I know, this is an old threat, but..."
... you are right still to comment it It makes me happy to see that I am also right not to archive old posts and keep them alive!
Since this thread was started, I decided myself to design a Basic compiler for Palm devices that I called iziBasic, which runs very well on the Dana devices too and which was highly inspired by my Basic experience on Sharp Pocket Computers
Cheers, aldweb |
