Is it possible for me to open
a memo in "Memos" using -

open "memo-name" for input as #1

I would like to read info from one of the memos in a program I am writing.
Thanks!

Tom,

It is is a little bit more complicated than that. In the last distrib of iziBasic, I have written a quick source code sample to show how to read the Memos titles.

I also wrote something about a megastring for iziBasic's v4 roadmap.
This is because, as is, iziBasic can only work with strings of up to 63 characters.
This means that it can only read the 63 first characters of a memo.
And, I have planned to be able to manage a 4 KB megastring to be able to handle memos among other things.

Meanwhile, waiting for v4 of iziBasic, you can detect memos with a source code like the one I provide as sample, and manage reading/writing the memo content with a PP applet.

Cheers
