Hi!
Here is an idea to improve the WAITEVENT and DOEVENTS instructions:

Report event (control ID) for TEXTFIELD, NUMFIELD, LABEL, etc.: I'm currently writing iziForms - a visual form editor to use with iziBasic - and I'll have to check the PENX,PENY to know if a LABEL, for example, is being requested (to edit properties or to drag it's position);

 Hey, it is a wonderful news to hear about iziForms!

Since I had no news from you... I was starting to think about doing it myself... but I am much more happy if you do it! So that I can concentrate my efforts on version 4 of iziBasic

Within Palm OS, I think that there is no event related to labels (I will check).
And, I know that events are often tricky to handle with the Field ressource.
But, by the way, within iziForms, you could very well simulate those things with a TEXTSELECTOR. This would avoid you this PENX,PENY painful browsing.

As for TEXTSELECTOR is concerned, please read my answer to your question on this topic.
