And a question... I have a pocket tape recorder (with those small tapes I saw the pocket computers use). Can I make an interface between it and my Pocket Computer, so I can save and load stuff? Mike |

Hello Mike, and Happy new year !
Sure you can use any good quality tape recorder with your Sharp, and even the sound card of your PC. You have to use the 11 pin interface on the left of your Sharp: _______________ | _________ | |________display 1 | 2 | : | keyboard : | 11|________________
Only pin 3,6,7 are used
3 is ground 6 is LOAD (from tape to Sharp) 7 is SAVE (from Sharp to tape)
To save programs, you have to connect pin 3 and 7 to a jack of a mono cable and plug the other jack into the tape recorder mic or line in connector
To load programs, you will use pins 3 and 6 and the line out connector. Try with low sound level first.
Good luck
Pierre

There is a very good page on the web about this topic. It's on the very nice PC-1500 web site, again a web site made by a very nice French guy
So, the URL is : http://www.pc1500.com/pc-pocket-transfer.html
