Hello,
Do someone have the schematics of the Sharp printers CE 126P or CE 129P ? I can exchange with Sharp PC schematics if you are interested.
All the best

Hello Pierre,
Did you get in touch with Rémy who is working on the PockEmul emulator for Sharp PCs?
I know that he was also working on this topic to try to emulate the CE-126P.
So, maybe he will be of help for you...

Hello,
Sorry, I don't have the schematics for the CE 126P, but I'm looking for schematics for the PC-E220. I can exchange with schematics for the CE 801T (level converter for PC E220) and PC 1403(H). I think, all schematics are available at www.schaltungsdienst.de for about 20 EUR - so sharing would be cheaper!
regards

Sorry Rémy, on my side I have nothing new to provide you
If someone has the requested information, please let Rémy know, his PockEmul software would be so much enhanced with the CE-126P emulation
Cheers

Hello!
Now I have all infos to give you an answer that may help you:
I think, owning the shematic wouldn't help very much because the CE-126P most likely contains an ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) - you would not get infos about that device.
It looks like CE-126P has two modes, I call them "native mode" when e.g. connected to a PC-1403 and "CE-125 emulation mode" when e.g. connected to a PC-1251. I believe this is true because I connected a PC-1403H to a CE-125 (with a homemade adapter) and it did not work, but the PC-1251 works with the CE-126P.
Now, the sources of information:
o There is a listing for a CE-125 emulator with centronics port (Intel MCS48 assembler, comments in german) which I got from Martin Woelz, Computer-Cabinett-Goettingen - maybe it helps understanding the interface protocol o Rainer Kratzer, http://www.ecps.de once published a software for the big PC (serial interface) which emulated a CE-126P. Maybe you can ask him for CE-126P infos. o A pocket computer freak named Rudolf wrote some C programs to print on a CE-126P from the big PC http://www.aldweb.com/inc/img/smileys/eek.gif o On another thread in this forum Juergen wrote he has a book about PC-E500 with infos about a printer - most likely the CE-126P
HTH
regards, Edgar
PS: ask me if you need some of the mentioned files |
