I found the very interesting thread between Claude et Sébastien and it brought out a lot of good memories, because long time ago I have also installed fig-Forth from scratch on my home computer. It was exciting to type in the assembly listing and get the inner interpreter, then the outer interpreter up and running. Now after reviving my old PC-E500S, I really want to try installing his forth language on it. I could only find a few other posts from a nice guy "Sebastien Furic" on comp.lang.forth where he also named the sc62015, but I could not get hold of his forth anywhere. An incomplete Beta-Version will also be enough, since I want to play with the source code and likely enhance it. Does anyone know, if this Forth for the PC-E500 really exists and/or where I can get it? Hint: A new download entry here in the "Ordinateur de Poche" section will be great!

Hello Slack,

I wish Sébastien would have sent me a working version before he more or less disappeared...
I know that his Forth compiler was running very well and that he was about to send me all materials to store them here, on my web site.

I sent him back an e-mail two days ago, hopping his e-mail address is still valid.
I received no answer so far.

I will keep you informed of any news on this topic.

Cheers,
aldweb

Hello,

I'm still alive, very busy but alive.
I have to collect the sources of the last version of my Forth (which really exists and works despite dust over it!)...
BTW, Slack, can you tell me witch version of hardware you have and how you plan to transfer data from your big PC to your PC?
Laurent, how can I upload sources to your site? Is there a repository somewhere? (sorry, don't have time to search...)

Cheers,

Sébastien.

Hello Sébastien,

It is such a pleasure to read you!
Thanks for letting us know that you are alive.

Just send me all the materials about the Forth compiler by e-mail and I will take care of putting it online here, and even dedicate a web page for it - it's well worth it!

Cheers,
aldweb

Wow!!! Great!!! Thank you very much, Sébastien and aldweb.

After reading your technical conversation about Forth for the Sharp PC-E500 few years ago I'm really happy that your fantastic work has found its home on the net.

Sure I will look inside it and hope to get it up and running. But since I only work under linux I think I have to establish some sort of development environment first.

And of course, I will let you all know, what I find out!
