Salut et Joyeux Noel :)

I retrieved my E500 and I have the project to :
1/ use it as terminal for my BananaPIs
2/ connect it to an ESP8266 to connect it to the internet ... well, in fact, to use it a an MQTT control console for my smart house programs.

As the E500 has hardware UART (unlink my lovely 1350) and a fast CPU, I'm pretty sure it's feasible directly in Basic. My only blocking point is to know how to test if there is any character waiting in the SIO inbound queue and get this char.
In other words, INKEY$ equivalent but for the SIO.

Thanks

Laurent
