Dear all,

I copy & paste an e-mail exchange I had with someone, to keep you updated on the "from real ( 32 bits ) to double ( 64 bits, 754 IEEE compliant )" topic.

[Privacy preserve] in these messages replaces the real name of the person who got in touch with me, for obvious reasons (I did not ask him permission before copying this e-mail exchange here, I will do right now!).

Cheers,
aldweb

Dear Sir:
Thank you for your wise advices and promptness...

Hello [Privacy preserve],

No, this is not planned in the near future.

Nevertheless, you may already very well access this precision by using some PP applets (as explained in the manual) for these mathematical formulas.
PP also has a dedicated library called PPMath which, as far as I remember (but to be checked), deals with doubles and its precision is as good or better in some areas as the mathlib.
Then, returning the result from the PP applet in a string to iziBasic, you will be able to display it in your iziBasic program.

Best regards,
aldweb

Dear Sir:
Thank you for your attention.
Would you mind to tell me if Izibasic real ( 32 bits ) my be implemented to double ( 64 bits, 754 IEEE compliant ) ?
Maybe with the use of the mathlib.prc ?
This would VERY useful for those who deal with some mathematical formulaes...
I thank you very much in advance for taking your time an trouble to answer.
Sincerely, [Privacy preserve]
