Tout plein de paramètres supplémentaires entrent en jeu : la vitesse du bus mémoire, la vitesse d'accès à la carte mémoire, le chipset graphique, l'enrichissement (et donc l'alourdissement) de Palm OS, etc...

Speedy est un outil de BENCHMARK, justement pour balancer tous ces aspects et proposer une valeur de comparaison, en travaillant sur 3 routines (Calc, Mem et Graph) qui vont justement essayer d'estimer tous ces aspects.

Et Speedy indique alors bien qu'une application moyenne fonctionne sur ton Tungsten E à une vitesse équivalente à celle qu'elle aurait sur une machine complètement équilibrée comparativement à un Palm Vx.

Ce qui compte, ce n'est pas le nombre en MHz, mais bien le % relatif par rapport au Vx, donc le temps d'exécution en seconde.

Ensuite, comme la fréquence et le temps sont liés par la formule f = 1 / T, on peut retrouver une fréquence. Et c'est là qu'il faut réaliser ce que ça calcule réellement.

Voilà, soit rassuré : ton Tungsten E est normal !
