NO ePATENTS
The European Commission was invited to vote a revised version of the rules governing the patents in Europe.
This version proposal contained a certain number of points which had direct links with the development of the free software, and which was likely to just prohibit independant developments (either commercial or not), killing at the same time the European software research and development.

All of my software like miniPortail / GuppY, Ma Page Web, NekoCat and all other software available on this website could then have become illegal because of patents when I developed all of them starting with a blank copy!

Hopefully, the European parliament rejected this project on July 6th, 2005 by a very large majority of votes.
