Programming on the Palm OS platform
As soon as I discovered the Palm OS system thanks to my first PDA running with this Operating System I have wanted to learn how to program software for it, whether utilities or games.
I give here, in this area of the aldweb Site, the results of my searches and findings that I feel of interest to share.
The papers written for PeekPocket by aldweb
aldweb was an active member of the French site dedicated to PDA programming so called
PeekPocket, which was too badly closed in August 2003. Therefore, I have written a series of
articles for this web site that you will find here as well.
Bench2, the aldweb's original benchmark for programming tools
Addicted to computer programming since almost 20 years, I did the exercise of comparing the different programming tools that are available on the Palm OS platform. My goal was not to evaluate them in terms of easyness to learn of use, but in terms of real power, by measuring the execution speed of the programs that are generated with this programming languages. The result is
Bench2.
