active  Topic # 1600  drawing a label with a number variable

I must hold the record by now for most topics made by one person :D
I have been using the print command to display a list of info, which happens to consist of half text, and half numbers. (like corn: 50 and Wood:100) I'd like to use the label command, thus allowing me to print with different fonts, and print anywhere on the screen, but I can't find an opposite command for VAL. How do I either make a label that prints a number variable, or convert the number into text so it can then be made into a label?
